Grand Hotel Martha’s - Opening night
On 31 October 1926, Grand Hotel Martha’s welcomed its first distinguished guests.
Rumour has it they never left.
In 1956, the hotel closed its doors. The last porter emptied the ashtrays, covered the piano and placed the keys on the reception desk.
As he reached the street, someone rang the bell for another drink. He kept walking.
For seventy years, the rooms have remained undisturbed. Yet every last day of October, someone polishes the glasses. Fresh flowers appear in the lobby and the guest book opens at the same page.
31 October 2026. One hundred years since their arrival.
We’re opening the bar.
Do dress for the occasion. The other guests can be terribly particular.

A peculiar Halloween at Grand Hotel Martha’s.
The ghosts of guests long forgotten still wander the bar, demanding replenishments and ice for the cocktails.
Fortunately, after a hundred years, the bartenders have mastered their craft.
DJ Freek(y) will spin the tables.
Mister Lennaaarght shall refrain from spilling too much blood in your cocktail.
Milady Loes will tend to your every need.
The patron will - as usual - wander around aimlessly, not too sure about the year or his own state of mind.
Dress to kill...
The staff will have a terribly quirky surprise for those who do and those who don't.
